We've been getting a lot of much-needed rain the past week, and the kids and I drove through a storm to go for walk this afternoon. We walked four miles along the greenway trail, while I annoyed them by stopping periodically to take pictures. But hey, I was the one with the car keys.
that knot rather looks like a gnome...face to the tree with his butt sticking out....maybe its just me....
ReplyDeletecool captures of the walk....i like the shroom in the tree too
That's funny - to me the knot looked like a sulky face coming out of the tree!
DeleteYou live in beautiful country!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's a very lush area and I'm grateful for it.
DeleteThat sky looks like a painting! Amazing photo.
ReplyDeleteThe sky was astounding that day, although most of the time I was on the highway and couldn't get photos.
Deletegood place to hike and take pictures. Now that this blog is public I should be able to get the RSS feed and therefore know when you have a new post. all the best.
ReplyDeleteYes, much simpler now.
DeleteGreat shotsm, I especially like the one of the fungi in the tree trunk.
ReplyDeleteIt looked like a little fairy cave to me.
DeleteIt looks like such a lovely place to take a walk in and take interesting pictures.
ReplyDeletePassei para uma visitinha.
ReplyDeleteBelas fotografias.

Thank you!
DeleteNothing wrong with a tree trunk with a huge knob on it. Makes it easier to climb.
ReplyDeleteThat place looks very familliar...do you live in Narnia?
ReplyDelete;-)
Haha I couldn't help my self
Wander
Shhh! I told you not to reveal my location!
DeleteIt's ok, most people mistake Narnia with middle earth...

Well, then, I guess I'm safe.
DeleteLooks like a beautiful walk and I love you pictures. Mushrooms are so awesome.
ReplyDeleteThere is something charming about mushrooms.
DeleteOmg the textures!
ReplyDeleteIt takes an eye to see...

Thanks! Sometimes when the lighting is dim, the textures become even more interesting.
DeleteMushrooms are amazing and tasty, even though most folks think they are gross! I'm glad your boys still like to go on walks with you.
ReplyDeleteQuite honestly, I don't like them cooked. Not the flavor, but the texture. I do love raw mushrooms, though.
DeleteThat looks like a great walk - with plenty of free food thrown in!
ReplyDeleteI don't have nearly enough knowledge about wild mushrooms to know which are safe and which are poisonous, so I leave them be.
DeleteI would love to walk here! Your pictures, as usual, are wonderful! I think the little mushroom in the tree is my favorite but all are worth framing.
ReplyDeleteThe one with the brothers together is priceless. I like that they are not moving at a fast pace, and how they are looking at the things around them... that you can tell that they are seeing.
Very cool.
They were deep in conversation at the time, which I am always happy to see.
DeleteBeautiful walk! The trails where I walk are very dry lately. I guess we need some of that rain.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photos. They are such a pleasure.
Ours had been until a couple of weeks ago. And this is a very green area.
DeleteWhat a lovely walk. So many great images came out of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThe younger one is just as tall as the older one. I look forward to walks with my boys. Right now it's just and exercise in frustration. I end up carrying the baby - he hates the stroller if my arms are available and dragging the four year old.
ReplyDeleteAlmost - he's an inch shorter. I didn't enjoy walks with the kids when they were the ages of yours either. ut I promise that gets better!
