O
In spite of her age and arthritis, this little dog never slowed down. On Saturday night she jumped up on the bed, apparently figuring it was time she stopped being kicked out of
her room. As we were falling asleep, I rolled over and pressed my backside into my boyfriend's belly. The dog immediately plopped herself down and pressed her back into me. It made me laugh, but was also very sweet.
Sorry to repeat myself, but I LOVE your photos. Where you spend time is so lovely and you have a wonderful eye.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice when lives seem to mesh without a struggle. I could do with a baby fix!
Well, I never get tired of nice compliments, so repeat away! Thanks!!
DeleteYou've got cool patterns going all over here. I wonder how the paint wore off to look quite like that.
ReplyDeleteYou know this is the time of year when I always offer to trade place with you. :)
I don't know - at first I thought it was brushed metal.
DeleteIt won't last, though - we're moving into cold, cold weather.
Your cold cold is still warm to me.
DeleteWhat a sweet and beautiful post, both the pictures and the stories! I loved this :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm feeling lucky.
DeleteI clicked on your photographs to see them big, and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFAB-U-LOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truly, you have a great eye for the camera, girl! That first one of the tree took my breath away. The colors are spectacular! I also love the one of the reeds (I think that's what they're called) against the lake.
Fabulous recap of your lovely weekend!

Thanks so much! That reddish golden color in the first picture of the huge maple tree is my favorite fall leaf color.
Deletesmiles...sounds like fun times, lots of nice walks...and even a bit of baby time...nice to be able to get them back once you get the fix too...ha....love the vibrant color in the leaves...
ReplyDeleteYes, I no longer wish to have another baby full-time! But I sure love holding them. :-)
DeleteThat tree is stupendously beautiful. I love big old trees. The fall colors are a bonus.
ReplyDeleteThis whole post sounds so......contented. I think that is the word I am thinking of.....contented and happy. Great combo. Enjoy!
So do I - those trees are amazing.
DeleteYes, contented. That's where I am.
oh happy day!

Lovely photos! I'm happy you are so happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHow lovely for you and such beautiful photos. I wish you every happiness throughout this holiday season and beyond, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much - same to you!
DeleteLovely, lovely photos! I love babies too, our youngest grandchild is now 7 and unfortunately there will be no more grandchildren, still we have 5 so can't be greedy! It's a good sign you're looking forward to seeing him again. :)
ReplyDeleteWith so many younger brothers and sisters, I grew up with a baby on my hip. I never get tired of holding a baby.
DeleteWhat a lovely image of boyfriend, you and dog all back-to-belly. Sounds real cosy!
ReplyDeleteThe leaves here are very late falling this year. The tree in our front yard is finally bare, which normally happens in September!
It was very cozy.
DeleteWe had a late start to fall, but it's gotten cold now.
Looked like a great place to take a walk and spend some time with someone very special to you :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
betty
Yes it was, thanks!
DeleteWhat a beautiful Fall day-- The trees and colors are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all had a nice time together.

Thank you. I love the fall colors here.
DeleteI have to tell you, as I scrolled down through this post, I read the bit about the baby, and then scrolled down further to see the picture. I was expecting a picture of a baby... and instead it was a picture of a mallard! This made me smile.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are lovely, and it sounds like things are going well for you. I'm glad! Spooning with your boyfriend and his dog simultaneously sounds fantastically cozy.
Ha! I wouldn't post a picture of the baby without permission and he doesn't know I blog. So, it had to be the duck!
DeleteIt all sounds so perfect and the pictures are beautiful. So glad you had such a nice time!
ReplyDeleteTo echo clost, you do sound very content. It's contagious. I love that first pic. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am feeling pretty content.
DeleteThat dog is a spooner!
ReplyDeleteAnd ain't it great to love up a baby and then hand it back and getting a good night's sleep?
Yes, she is!
DeleteAnd as much as I love babies, I no longer want to have one full-time - handing them back is perfect.
