Riverwalk.

O

In spite of her age and arthritis, this little dog never slowed down.  On Saturday night she jumped up on the bed, apparently figuring it was time she stopped being kicked out of her room.  As we were falling asleep, I rolled over and pressed my backside into my boyfriend's belly. The dog immediately plopped herself down and pressed her back into me.  It made me laugh, but was also very sweet.

  1. Sorry to repeat myself, but I LOVE your photos. Where you spend time is so lovely and you have a wonderful eye.
It is nice when lives seem to mesh without a struggle. I could do with a baby fix!

  2. You've got cool patterns going all over here. I wonder how the paint wore off to look quite like that.

You know this is the time of year when I always offer to trade place with you. :)

    1. I don't know - at first I thought it was brushed metal.

It won't last, though - we're moving into cold, cold weather.

  4. I clicked on your photographs to see them big, and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    FAB-U-LOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truly, you have a great eye for the camera, girl! That first one of the tree took my breath away. The colors are spectacular! I also love the one of the reeds (I think that's what they're called) against the lake.

Fabulous recap of your lovely weekend!

    1. Thanks so much! That reddish golden color in the first picture of the huge maple tree is my favorite fall leaf color.

  9. Lovely, lovely photos! I love babies too, our youngest grandchild is now 7 and unfortunately there will be no more grandchildren, still we have 5 so can't be greedy! It's a good sign you're looking forward to seeing him again. :)

    1. With so many younger brothers and sisters, I grew up with a baby on my hip. I never get tired of holding a baby.

  10. What a lovely image of boyfriend, you and dog all back-to-belly. Sounds real cosy!

The leaves here are very late falling this year. The tree in our front yard is finally bare, which normally happens in September!

  13. I have to tell you, as I scrolled down through this post, I read the bit about the baby, and then scrolled down further to see the picture. I was expecting a picture of a baby... and instead it was a picture of a mallard! This made me smile.

Your photographs are lovely, and it sounds like things are going well for you. I'm glad! Spooning with your boyfriend and his dog simultaneously sounds fantastically cozy.

    1. Ha! I wouldn't post a picture of the baby without permission and he doesn't know I blog. So, it had to be the duck!

And ain't it great to love up a baby and then hand it back and getting a good night's sleep?

    1. Yes, she is!

And as much as I love babies, I no longer want to have one full-time - handing them back is perfect.
